Pumamaki Expeditions, Inc. offers an incredible journey of discovery through the breathtaking scenery of Ecuador, Chile, Peru and Argentina.  We explore cities, take in the culture of each of these countries, view the breath-taking landscape of the Andes Mountains and indigenous wildlife in each of these countries.  These activities in which you will participate will be ones you will always remember.


An integral part of ALL Pumamaki Expeditions, Inc. tours is the MANDATORY participation in charity work/global giving.  Each participant is required to bring down goods/money for the need citizens of each country .  Three months prior to each departure, Pumamaki Expeditions, Inc. has a meeting stating what is needed and to which organization the participants will be contributing their goods/money.  During our tour, part of a day will be designated to physically delivering these goods/money to the people themselves and getting to know those underprivileged people.  Pumamaki Expeditions, Inc. prides itself in being one of THE only tour companies in the United States that integrates an adventure/cultural trip with personal charity connections to those less fortunate than us.

                                   THE ADVENTURE TRIP TO ECUADOR

This adventure trip welcomes adults who are willing to explore a unique part of the world,  families, as well as middle school and high school students.  It features whitewater rafting, tubing, biking, horseback riding, and canopying.  We take long walks in the Amazon Basin, visit the equator, experience the cloud forest and see an active volcano as well as participate in the Shaman ritual.  This 10-day excursion is offered several times a year, with between 12-20 participants including an expert English speaking guide.

For $3,799 per person based on double occupancy, the 10-day tour includes:
  • Round trip international air transportation between U.S. and Quito, Ecuador
  • All land transportation and transfers within Ecuador on comfortable Tourism coaches
  • All meals, excluding beverages at meals

                                       THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS CRUISE

8 - Day Trip

This 8-day adventure begins with a day in Quito where all participants visit the equator, take an inside tour of the Presidential Palace, and spend some time delivering goods and interacting with the needy people of Ecuador.  We then fly to the Galapagos Islands and spend 4 nights/5 days aboard a first class yacht and tour three of the islands.  There we see the wildlife unique only to the Galapagos:  the turtles, iguanas,  red and blue-footed boobies as well as other indigenous life.  We also tour the Charles Darwin Reserve Center where we learn about scientific discoveries made by past and current scientists.  Space is limited to only 16 persons per trip.  The global giving portion of the trip will be included either at the beginning or end of this tour.

10 - Day Trip

The exclusive trip consists of a 10-day ALL inclusive trip. This excursion begins in Quito and takes us to Otavalo, one of the largest Andean markets in South America; Calderón, where artisans make figure out of bread, and Cotacachi, a leather-good capital of Ecuador.  We then take our 4 night/5 day tour of the Galapagos Islands where we enjoy all the natural features these islands have to offer.  This trip includes a $100 donation to an organization of your choice.  Once again, space is limited to 16 persons per trip. 

The trip for $4,900 per person based on double occupancy includes:

  • Round trip airfare from U.S. to Quito

 CULTURAL TRIP TO ECUADOR -
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE WORLD

This type of trip is for those individuals who enjoys a more leisurely look at Ecuador.  This 10-day excursion begins and ends in Quito at the Stubel Suites and Cafe and tours the Andean hillsides including Cotopaxi, the world's highest active volcano.  We then visit the cloud forest in Baños at a spa for several days surrounding ourselves with the beautiful views of this region.  The rain forest is our next destination where we are able to walk through the Amazon Basin and see exotic birds, orchids and bromelias. Included in this trip is a $100 donation to an organization of your choice.   This trip is offered several times a year.

For $3,600 per person based on double occupancy,  the 10-day tour includes:
  • Round trip international air transportation between U.S. and Quito, Ecuador

 CULTURAL WINE TOUR TO CHILE

This 10 - day trip ventures to the four most popular wine areas of Chile: the Maipo Vally, the Colchaugua Valley, Vina del Mar, and the Casablanca Valley.   Included in this wine tour  are nine visits to various wineries with exclusive wine tastings.  Many wine tasting tours  also include elaborate lunches and dinners.  This trip offers participants a chance to tour Santiago, Chile as well as Valparaiso, one of the most prominent cities along the western coast of Chile on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean.

For $4,399 per person based on double occupancy, the 10-day tour includes:

ADVENTURE PERU - Machu Picchu

Participants who travel on this 10-day trip will have the opportunity to see sites in Cuzco.   Tours of the ruins include Sacsayhuaman, a famous Inca fortress,  Ollantaytambo, a most unusual ruin  displaying the Inca city planning, and Pisac and the Sacred alley.  We then fly to Machu Picchu and tour this wonderful ancient city in the sky.  A visit to the Amazon and whitewater rafting  concludes this trip depending on the time of year trip is scheduled. In the Amazon, we observe the wonders of nature that only this region can offer.  We will see a wide variety of frogs, insects, and animals indigenous to the Amazon.

Participants who choose this 10-day trip will enjoy many highlights in this South American country AND Brazil ending in Santiago, Chile.  Included are the following activities:  tango dancing,  walking tour of Buenos Aires including a delta trip,  Iguazú Falls and a speed boat under the falls, tour of the Amazon, a day at the dude ranch,an "estancia", enjoying the beautiful landscape in Mendoza.  Not only do we see the Argentine portion of Iguazú Falls but we also visit the Brazilian side of the falls!!!  Participants will have the opportunity to go horseback riding, whitewater rafting,  rock climbing, canopying, AND rappelling in the Andes Mountains depending on the time of year of the trip.
